Fictional combined delivery
Two events require 104 rose design stems. There are 10 usable roses, 10% waste and 10 stems per bunch.
Purchase calculation
Shortage = 104 − 10 = 94 design stems. Buy stems = ceiling(94 / 0.9) = 105. Buy bunches = ceiling(105 / 10) = 11. The 110 purchased stems exceed the waste-adjusted shortage by 5.
Do not mix cost measures
Whole-bunch cash spend includes purchased surplus. Recipe consumed cost includes entered labour/material allowances. Estimate minus entered costs is contribution, not net profit.
